Summiting Success: Corecom’s High Achievers Hit the Slopes!
At Corecom Consulting, we don’t just celebrate success; we reward it with unforgettable experiences. This March, a group of our high-achieving team members traded their keyboards for skis and headed to the breath-taking French Alps for an all-expenses-paid, all-inclusive weekend adventure. It’s all part of our commitment to recognising and rewarding the hard work that goes into placing top tech talent with our valued clients.
A Reward Worthy of Champions
Why a ski trip? Because we believe in having fun while we excel. Recruitment is a demanding profession, a rollercoaster of ups and downs, especially in the competitive tech market. Our team’s dedication and exceptional results deserve a celebration that’s as thrilling as their achievements. And what’s more thrilling than carving down pristine slopes?
For our Managing Director, Jonathan Sanderson, skiing isn’t just a sport; it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience he wants everyone who wants it to have. It’s about pushing boundaries, trying something new, and creating memories that last a lifetime.
From Bambi on Ice to Alpine Aces
The team’s skiing experience ranged from seasoned pros like Jack West and Jonathan to first-timers like Associate Consultant, Jack Fletcher, and Senior Consultant, Jamie Harvey. Leroy Watson and Rick Hughes, veterans of previous Corecom ski trips, were ready to conquer the slopes once again.
As Jamie Harvey recounted, “Back from my first ever ski trip (just) with the Corecom Consulting squad and what a trip it was! At the start of the trip, I must admit the toys went out of the pram, I was a full-on Bambi on ice. Couldn’t stop, couldn’t turn, and definitely couldn’t keep up with the ski instructors who somehow make skiing backwards look casual.”
But Jamie’s experience highlights a crucial Corecom behaviour: persistence. “Persistence is a funny thing,” he said. “After a few humbling falls (and some very patient instructors, shoutout my man Javier) it started to click. By the end of the trip, I could actually ski and its safe to say, I’ve caught the ski bug.”
Working with the Best, Celebrating the Best
Commercial Director, Rick Hughes added “Congrats to everyone who earned their spot on the trip. Everyone who made it demonstrated some serious performance levels between December and February to book their spot on the plane. At Corecom, ‘Working with the Best’ is one of our core values – and everyone on this trip proved exactly why they earned their place.”
The trip was a testament to our team’s hard work, dedication, and the “Working with the Best” principle that drives us. It’s about recognising that our people are our greatest asset and rewarding them with experiences that reflect their achievements.
Looking Ahead: Summer Adventures Await
The excitement doesn’t stop here. Plans are already underway for the Corecom Summer High Achievers Holiday, and the team is working hard to secure their spot. At Corecom, we believe in creating a culture where hard work is celebrated, success is rewarded, and fun will always be on the agenda.

I have seen the challenges that people with protected characteristics face and I’d like to be a part of the population that is fighting for change. I have personally seen benefits from growing up within a diverse friendship group and around a family from different culture backgrounds. I want to encourage people to celebrate people’s differences and to take the opportunity to learn about others and accept them for who they are just as they would like to be accepted themselves.
