Our approach

Established as an IT recruitment company in 2008, Corecom set out to stand apart from its peers. At our core was the desire to be a company that people loved and wanted to work for. Employee wellbeing was at the top of our agenda and remains so today. But we also wanted to change the landscape of the IT sector. At that time (and still to an extent, now, if truth be told), the IT sector was dominated by young, white males. As a recruiter in the industry, we recognised the responsibility that lay with us to help turn this tide and widen out our talent pool to draw on the rich experiences, creativity and passion that a diverse workforce brings. We know that diverse teams bring wellbeing, fulfilment and new ways of thinking – and this in turn, brings greater economic return and stability.

So we set out to practice what we wanted to preach. Diversity, inclusion and wellbeing are the cornerstones of our business. Women make up 40% of our workforce, Diversity & Inclusion ambassadors lead the way on challenging and educating and we have a super strong Women in Technology (WIT) team operating to showcase the amazing contributions that women make in the sector. Our approach has won us the IIP Platinum mark – an accolade only achieved by 2% of organisations globally.

One of our core values is “Share our Success” and we are firm believers in using our platform to give back to the industries we operate in and the wider community. Working from the inside out, we carry a portfolio of work to constantly challenge and push the sector whilst also raising and realising aspirations. Working and collaborating with clients and partners is an essential part of what we do and we have won a number of awards as a result of our work.

Partnerships

Working in partnership with a host of charities and educational bodies, we support women and marginalised groups to begin their journey into the world of tech by challenging societal barriers and overthrowing stigma. We also work closely with our partners to provide practical tools and skills in the form of workshops, tutorials and educational talks.

What people say about us
We’re proud to be a 5-star rated company on Google. See what people say about us.

What I wanted from this partnership was to be able to take a step back and free me up to focus on my other responsibilities in addition to recruitment. Working with Corecom alone made everything so straight forward. I wasn’t having to chase up several agencies and there was no duplication of candidates. Tunstall was their no1 focus and I trusted them to deliver, which they did. There was noticeable improvements in CV-to-interview and interview-to-placement ratios which was a real pain point before changing the model on how we worked together. Working on a retained basis gave me confidence that extra effort and resource would be put in to filling the roles.
