What does a normal day working for Corecom look like?
My first alarm goes off at 6am and two snoozes later I spring into life and dig into three Weetabix and a coffee… when I’m in the office I leave the house around 7am and get my working day underway around 8.15am.
No day is the same (some might call it organised chaos), but my role as a 360 consultant consists of building relationships with software engineers, liaising with key accounts and developing new and existing business relations to connect talent to innovating companies in the tech space.
After work usually involves a visit to the gym or the pub… and sometimes both in that order! Once I’m home I’ll cook a big feed and get the TV on for an hour or two before I hit the hay and get ready to do it all over again.
What’s the best thing about working with the Corecom team?
I joined the Corecom family in 2021 and since day one I’ve received the support, training, and confidence which allows me to continuously grow in a very competitive market. It’s certainly a case of work hard play hard – everyone does their bit for the business and the positive can-do attitude and collaborative approach is great.
How do you spend those well deserved days off?
I love to be out of the house keeping fit, eating good food and drinking good beer. I’m a football fanatic and follow York City, but I’m also a firm believer in living a balanced lifestyle… so I do take precaution in how much 6th tier football I take in on the weekends.
What job would you be terrible at?
An exam invigilator – I can’t think of much worse than keeping my mouth shut for hours on end.
What’s a piece of advice that has stuck with you?
Never fry bacon naked…

Celebrate little victories – life is full of ups and downs, but in between we have a lot of little victories that go unnoticed. Take a moment to celebrate these small wins.
What I wanted from this partnership was to be able to take a step back and free me up to focus on my other responsibilities in addition to recruitment. Working with Corecom alone made everything so straight forward. I wasn’t having to chase up several agencies and there was no duplication of candidates.
