Corecom Consulting places employee and community wellbeing at the top of its agenda for 2023

Today, the Christmas season is synonymous with shopping and presents starting with the Black Friday sales and extending through the weekends running up to December 25th. The custom of giving presents at Christmas has its origin in the story of the Wise Men, but it’s fair to say that for many the cost of living crisis is a harsh reality that makes it difficult to enjoy the holidays. Inflation is at an all-time high, we’re in the grips of a recession and the thought of buying gifts or even putting food on the table for many can be overwhelming.

At Corecom Consulting there has always been a culture of giving back and making a special effort to offer support in their own community and they are leading the way in the region yet again by giving £25,000 across the company to their employees, to help with the increases in the cost of living.

Jonathan Sanderson, Managing Director at Corecom Consulting says:

“Our employees’ wellbeing is very important to us, and we hope that this measure will help alleviate the pressures of this unprecedented increase in the cost of living. Obviously, the cost of living crisis is on our employees’ minds at the moment, and they don’t lose that thought when they come into work. We as a company thought through what more we could do to support and help our employees.”

And it’s not just within the company that the spirit of giving prevails. Corecom plans to offer even more support to their charity partners next year.  Candlelighters is a children’s cancer charity set up some 40 years ago to bring light and hope to children and their families living across Yorkshire. Corecom was delighted to join Candlelighters ‘Team 500’ in 2020, a community of businesses each committing to raise £500 per year. As a member of Team 500, Corecom hosts a range of events and activities to raise much needed funds for Candlelighters.

Moonlight Trust is a humanitarian charity based in Dewsbury providing much needed aid and educational projects for refugees across the globe. Corecom works in partnership with Moonlight Trust, providing monetary donations, strategic business advice to the management team, hands on practical support to the women the trust works with in Yorkshire.

Corecom is also a member of Leeds and Bradford Community Foundation Trust 100 Club involved in philanthropic activities across the region. The club creates opportunities for all by working with partners to make a positive impact within communities across Leeds and Bradford, benefitting thousands of local people.

Corecom Consulting has also geared up for the festive season, once again filling shoeboxes with gifts for Operation Christmas Child. This year, they have packed up shoeboxes that will be sent to children in need all around the world. Operation Christmas Child is supported by year-round volunteers across the UK. Churches, schools and groups collect the shoeboxes during National Collection Week. Thousands of volunteers check and prepare the shoeboxes for international shipping. The shoeboxes are distributed to more than 100 countries worldwide. Ministry partners of Samaritan’s Purse around the world hand out shoebox gifts in the local community at festive outreach events.

It’s the season of giving in unprecedentedly tough economic times and a very good time to remember that generous employers often receive much in return.
