Corecom achieves highest accolade by Investors in People

Corecom is delighted to announce that we have achieved the highest accreditation from Investors in People, gaining ‘We invest in people’ Platinum status.  The accolade, which recognises excellence in leadership, culture and people management is held by just 2% of accredited organisations across the globe.

The Investors in People sets a global benchmark for best practice and uses a rigorous framework to assess organisations against that. The platinum mark is awarded to those that embed policies and practices to support and empower people throughout every cornerstone of the organisation, making for a happy and healthy business that is focused on continuous improvement and delivering sustainable results.

In its report, Investors in People found Corecom to be operating at the High Performing level against seven of the nine key assessment indicators. It found us to be ‘a fantastic organisation to work for’ drawing on the dynamic ambition and culture of the business, with an engaged and empowered workforce driven by a passionate and highly motivated leadership team. Stating: “The business structure is agile and responsive to the continuous changes needed to succeed”, it also applauded us for our commitment to maintaining a flexible and adaptable business with a desire to succeed.

We were also commended for our clearly defined values, high levels of trust across all tiers of the organisation and our commitment to leading on diversity and inclusion, as well as playing an active and practical role within the community.

Capturing the essence of Corecom, Investors in People assessor Andrew Walsh wrote:

“Corecom places a high commitment on continually developing the business, demonstrated through the passion and enthusiasm of everyone from the MD to team members. The innovation culture is seen everywhere and all the employees have lots of ideas for successful change. They say that they are listened to and taken note of. All the workforce strongly believe that Corecom is a great place to work, very different from other agencies, and there are very high levels of trust within the organisation both upwards and down. People see that it has a great future and there are excellent levels of optimism throughout.”

The accreditation is the culmination of a successful year for us in which industries across the globe have faced unprecedented challenges and barriers due to the COVID pandemic. Despite the setbacks facing the IT recruitment industry, we are delighted to report that we have grown our market, expanding into Europe, and smashing our turnover target three-fold over.

Commenting on the award, Jonathan Sanderson, Managing Director at Corecom Consulting said:

We are absolutely ecstatic to achieve platinum accreditation from Investors in People. It is a true testament to the amazing work, dedication and commitment that our entire team puts into empowering, developing and prioritising the wellbeing, not only of the business, but also of each other as individuals. We are truly blessed to have a team that has continued to embody our culture and values, whilst also flexing and adapting throughout an incredibly tough 18 months, working collaboratively and innovatively to ensure the business remains sustainable.

“I’m extremely proud of the team. We’ve managed to have a fantastic year and this IIP award is the icing on the cake.”

Andrew Walsh of Investors in People, added:

“We’d like to congratulate Corecom Consulting. Platinum accreditation on We invest in people is a remarkable effort for any organisation, and places Corecom in fine company with a small elite of organisations that fully understand and engage the value of people.

Corecom Consulting was established in 2008. Employing just two employees at inception, we grew rapidly and now employ 23 colleagues across three national and international offices.

We are proud to have won various awards including the UK’s Leading IT Recruitment Company in both 2020 and 2021.

We place inclusivity, diversity and equality at the heart of our ethos. Staff ambassadors are appointed to identify, challenge and overcome barriers – an initiative that led to the launch of the Corecom Women in Technology team and a series of WITBoss events in 2015, providing further networking, development and insight opportunities for women within the sector.

What people say about us
We’re proud to be a 5-star rated company on Google. See what people say about us.

I’ve worked at Corecom since 2018 and I’ve loved every minute of it. The atmosphere is different to any other environment I’ve been in before and it’s really a place where you can get on without any of the classic recruitment stereotypes. I’m a big believer in the fact that if you enjoy coming to work then you’ll never need to be encouraged to perform and that’s exactly the case at Corecom.
