Corecom children send Get Well pictures and messages to Coronavirus victims

The lovely children of some of our employees have been drawing pictures and writing get well messages for the victims of COVID-19.

Millie and Lottie Cowman, Holly and Ella Grant and Mila Sanderson, all aged between 4 and 9, wanted to do something for those who are struggling with the effects of the virus. Recognising that people would be alone in hospital as they wouldn’t be able to be visited by friends and family, they created some bright and cheerful pictures to help put a smile on the faces of those who are poorly.

Their creations have been passed on to Dr Anne Raine, a retired doctor who has volunteered to work with the Palliative Care and Patient Experience Teams at Airedale General Hospital in Keighley, West Yorkshire, to help those who have fallen victim to Coronavirus keep in touch with their families.

Millie Cowman, who is the eldest daughter of our Marketing Director, said:

“We are hoping that our pictures and letters will make the poorly people who are in hospital smile and know that we are thinking about them.”

Anne said:

“We are delighted to receive the children’s lovely cards. It is touching to think that they are thinking of those who need some comfort at this time and incredibly thoughtful of them to create something that I’m sure will give such pleasure to the patients who are facing long and lonely hours in hospital away from their loved ones.”
