Corecom scoops Diversity & Inclusion Champion of the Year award
The Corecom team were thrilled last night to be crowned Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Champion of the Year at the Growing Business Awards 2022.
Celebrating organisations that place diversity and inclusion at the heart of their business strategy and values, the D&I Growing Business Award recognises entrepreneurs and high growth businesses that offer opportunities for employees from different backgrounds to thrive.
The award adds to our existing accolades including the prestigious Platinum Investors in People Mark and the UK’s Leading IT Recruitment Company 2022. The Growing Business Award win cements our position in the business sector as a leader within diversity and inclusion.
We are immensely proud of our dedicated D&I Ambassadors, Dom Brown and Aishia Ullah, who have been instrumental in achieving this award through the delivery of a company-wide diversity and inclusion training programme. As well as driving the entire team to advocate D&I and women in tech to clients, they provide extensive advice, training and mentoring opportunities to our client base. This is as well as working to raise the confidence, aspirations, skills and opportunities within our communities to drive diversity and inclusion in STEM.

The award win is one of three that the Corecom team have been shortlisted for this quarter. We were delighted to be a finalist for the International Trade Award, hosted by Prolific North’s Business Masters Awards, as well as being finalists at the Yorkshire Post’s Excellence in Business Awards for their Diversity & Inclusion Award.

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on children with cancer and their families. Extended periods of separation and isolation, anxiety and financial hardship have all taken their toll and the need for our specialist support has become ever more critical. However, sadly, at Candlelighters, we saw our fundraising grind to a halt during the pandemic, which is why we put Team 500 into motion. And we are so thrilled that Corecom have come on board with supporting us on this initiative. In going above and beyond their fundraising goals, we are able to continue to provide critical support and make life a little brighter for the 150 families in Yorkshire devastated by a cancer diagnosis each year.
