Investors in People Platinum Company
In 2021, we achieved the Platinum Mark from Investors In People in recognition of our excellence in leadership, culture and people management. Awarded to just 2% of organisations around the globe, the accolade celebrates those organisations that embed policies and practices to support and empower people at every cornerstone of the organisation. The award came as we moved out of our second lockdown, at a time when the world was very much down on its luck, so as you can imagine, we were absolutely thrilled with this outcome.

What this means
In a nutshell, the platinum mark is the highest award available to business. In essence, it is awarded to those organisations that demonstrate excellent people skills, making for a happy and healthy business that is focused on continuous improvement and delivering sustainable results. The IIP applies a rigorous assessment framework and found Corecom to excel in seven out of nine of its key indicators. It noted our dynamic ambition and culture along with high levels of engagement and empowerment amongst our workforce and praised the passion and motivation behind our leadership team.
Achieving this mark cemented our confidence in what we were already doing and brought even greater unification to us as a team – something we didn’t think could be possible. But it also gave us the fire in our bellies to delve deeper and to critically analyse our processes to spot if there were any ways in which we could do things better. Inclusivity, diversity and equality lie at the heart of our ethos and we have numerous practices embedded within our business to fulfil these – from appointed Women in Technology (WIT) and Diversity and Inclusion Ambassadors, to industry events, community partnerships and staff wellbeing days. But we know we can expand and flex on these. As we have all discovered the world is ever changing (and can do rapidly), as is technology and best practice, so we definitely aren’t resting on our laurels, but actively seeking ways to outperform our current leadership and people skills.
