TechSession: Using Python for Data Analysis

Our next TechSession for Data Analysts and Data Scientists will take place on Friday 17 April 2020 from 8.00 – 9.00am. Join us for a cuppa and a spot of breakfast whilst learning about using Python for data analysis with Dan Schofield, Data Scientist at NHS Digital.

TechSessions are short hour-long events focusing on the sharing of knowledge and advice relating to key hot topics in tech. Within an hour and a half, you’ll benefit from a Python masterclass with Dan looking at:

  • data analysis within Python
  • ways of working and best practice

This will be followed by round-table discussions and refreshments will be provided.

Dan is a commercially trained Data Scientist at NHS Digital who has studied at Durham, Cambridge and Swansea, gaining his PhD in Theoretical Physics in 2014. He’s been with NHS Digital since 2017 and has since then been involved in a number of key projects, most of which have involved the use of Python for proof of concepts, Machine Learning models and data analysis.

This TechSession will include:

  • Complimentary breakfast and refreshments
  • Networking with the Yorkshire tech community
  • Presentation, questions and discussions with Dan Schofield, Data Scientist at NHS Digital, followed by round-table discussions
