We are delighted to announce that the next Manchester BIBoss will take place on Thursday 2nd April 2020 from 6.00 – 8.30pm. The event creates a unique platform for leaders in Business Intelligence & Data Analytics to debate, discuss hot topics, learn from reputable and established speakers and network with like-minded individuals.
The event, titled: “Transforming a business, its people and its culture to being data-enabled”, will welcome BI professionals and guest speakers: Paul Evans, ex-Head of BI at Together Money Loans and Steve Hulmes, MD at Sophic.
Paul holds over 20 years Senior Management and Board Level experience in Financial Services and the Automotive industries. With a broad background in general business consultancy, he has always used data to drive decision making in the businesses with which he has been involved. Paul’s presentation is called: ‘The Business Journey to Data Enablement’ and he will describe some of the steps (and hurdles) that need to be negotiated in order to take a business on its journey toward being data-enabled, and to make data a topic that is talked of positively from the water cooler to the boardroom.
Steve has over 30 years’ experience in the analytics arena. Having run BI and Insight teams for the likes of GE Capital, Co-op Bank, and MBNA, he now focuses on helping analytics teams improve their impact, profile, and productivity through his portfolio of development workshops under his Sophic brand. In this session, Steve will deliver: ‘Turning number crunchers into consultants – the key to effective BI’, talking about the key mindset changes analytics teams need to make to be able to effectively add value to the organisation.
