I recently joined Corecom’s Data team after working in recruitment for over 12 months, before I stumbled into the world of recruitment & data, I studied Economics at University. My favourite thing about my role is having the opportunity to work alongside a variety of businesses ranging from major corporations to SME’s, and to fully understand their needs and help them find the best Data Scientists, Data Engineers, BI & Data warehouse Developers, DBAs and Data Analysts on the market!

What does a normal day working for Corecom look like?
My standard day starts at 7am where I jump out of bed and blast on some Cardi B or J Cole depending on the day to set my mood. I do my makeup, choose my outfit, and pack my bag for the day, then run out the door.
I get to the office by 8.15, and I start by grabbing a coffee and checking through all my emails and messages to then schedule my day. We then have a company morning meeting to catch up with everyone before we go off and be consultants for the day.
Every day is different, and varies from client and candidate meetings, searching through CV’s, interview prepping candidates and advertising roles. During lunch I tend to go on a quick shopping spree in the city centre or go grab some sushi from Itsu.
Once I finish work at 5.30, I tend to visit the gym and grab some yummy food to cook when I get home. Once home I like to relax and unwind, usually while watching selling sunset or any other series on Netflix, before going to bed. Unless it’s a Friday, then the chances are I will be down Greek street sipping on Long Island Iced Tea’s.
What’s the best thing about working with the Corecom team?
The energy in the business is immaculate, everyone is hard working and wanting to do well, but at the same time everyone is supportive of others. It is a competitive environment but there is no jealousy when people do well, and everyone works as a part of one team.
How do you spend those well deserved days off?
Outside of work you will either find me at the gym, cooking or enjoying a face mask while watching a series. You may also find me out on a bottomless brunch or on a spontaneous night out after a liquid lunch.
What job would you be terrible at?
Art teacher, as drawing a stick man would be challenging for me.
What’s a piece of advice that has stuck with you?
Surround yourself with the right people and you will succeed.
What I wanted from this partnership was to be able to take a step back and free me up to focus on my other responsibilities in addition to recruitment. Working with Corecom alone made everything so straight forward. I wasn’t having to chase up several agencies and there was no duplication of candidates. Tunstall was their no1 focus and I trusted them to deliver, which they did. There was noticeable improvements in CV-to-interview and interview-to-placement ratios which was a real pain point before changing the model on how we worked together. Working on a retained basis gave me confidence that extra effort and resource would be put in to filling the roles.
