Meagan fights for every heartbeat
Throughout April, in memory of her grandfather, Operations Assistant, Meagan Stobart, is hiking 200 miles across Yorkshire. She will be raising vital funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF), the nation’s largest heart disease charity.
To achieve her target Meagan is walking approximately seven miles a day, or just over 38 miles a week. With 77 miles remaining, she has raised over £660 which will go towards lifesaving research to fight against cardiovascular disease.
“I wanted to get involved because my lovely Grandad sadly passed away, and I wanted to help support the charity and the amazing research it carries out to save people with Heart Disease.
“I am hoping to raise £1,000 for the BHF helping them to fund the research that is so urgently needed to fight heart disease. It’s been incredibly easy to co-ordinate, and great fun.”
Gemma Robinson, Operations Director, commented:
“As part of our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility, we encourage employees to take a day out of company time each year to volunteer in the community.
“Meagan is raising money for a fantastic cause which is close to her heart and we are incredibly proud of what she is accomplishing.”
