National Apprenticeship Week 2016

As it is National Apprenticeship Week 2016, the celebration of Apprenticeships, Corecom would like to commend the two apprentices that they currently employ.  Both apprentices are completing their Business Apprenticeships with a particular focus on Administration and Sales.

Josh Dixon, a Recruitment Resourcer at Corecom Consulting, is completing a 12/24 month Business Apprenticeship with Rita Eisner from Learning Innovations with the potential of lasting 50 months.  His Apprenticeship focuses on Customer Service Level 2, Sales Level 3 and Recruitment Levels 2+3, and is equivalent to a UCAS Level 3.

Speaking about his Apprenticeship Josh said:

“I’m getting on really well at Corecom Consulting and am well ahead of where I expected to be at this stage.  I’ve already had endless opportunities to develop my professional skill set, including: public speaking, presenting, selling events and promoting a variety of brands.  

“The work I’ve been doing at Corecom has led to me completing my foundations so that I’m now able to complete my foundation degree.”

Josh started working at Corecom Consulting just four months ago and has already made his mark amongst the other consultants.  Josh consistently wins Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the week for his relentless work ethic and customer service, guiding candidates seamlessly through the job application process.  In January Josh won MVP of the month, beating a mix of graduates and former bankers to the accolade, a fantastic achievement for any new starter.

Corecom Consulting’s second apprentice, Nicola Cooper works as Operations Support and is nine months into her twelve month Business and Administration NVQ Level 2.  Nicola’s Apprenticeship is with North Lancs Training Group (partnered with City and Guilds), and consists of Business Units, Management and Leadership Skills, IT Units and Functional Skills in Maths, English and IT, however Nicola is exempt from exams in Maths and English due to attaining higher than a C at GSCE level in these subjects.  Other units in Nicola’s Apprenticeship include: Personal Learning and Thinking Skills, Employee Rights and Responsibilities, Equality and Diversity and Safeguarding.

When asked how her Apprenticeship was going, Nicola said:

“I have learnt a lot in my role as Operations Support at Corecom Consulting.  I have had amazing training from both Corecom and North Lancs Training Group since starting my Apprenticeship in June 2015. 

“Corecom has taught me numerous new skills such as: Finance, HR, communication and contract skills, as well as helping me to develop my existing skills.  I will be completing my Business and Administration Level 3 once I have completed my NVQ Level 2 in June 2016.”

It’s safe to say that Corecom’s apprentices have come on leaps and bounds since starting and we’re very proud to be developing their professional skills to help them to secure their qualifications.  Corecom fully supports the saying “an apprenticeship can take you anywhere” and we’re delighted to be a part of our apprentice’s futures.  To learn more about Corecom’s opportunities click here.
