Corecom shortlisted ‘Best Recruitment Company to Work For’ at industry awards
Corecom Consulting is thrilled to be shortlisted as the ‘Best Recruitment Company to Work For’ at the TIARA Awards 2023.
The shortlist comes after an outstanding 12 months for Corecom across the UK and Europe, delivering large-scale recruitment campaigns for some of the world’s best-known brands.
Corecom was recognised for employee excellence, achieved in part by the coaching culture that has been warmly embraced across the business, with employees enjoying access to market-leading training and development, clear career progression, and a highly flexible working environment.
Corecom was also commended for its innovative Boss event series, particularly its women in technology event; WITBoss, which has become a prominent platform for promoting gender diversity and empowerment in the tech sector. Our most recent sell-out event, hosted in partnership with charity Getaway Girls, was attended by the likes of Flutter, Sky, EMIS, BBC, BJSS, Morrisons, The Data City and Channel 4.
Once again, we were applauded by the judges for our dedication to working to transform the industry’s lack of representation of minority groups. With our employees leading this transformation, we have developed and equipped our workforce with the knowledge and skills in Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) needed to educate our candidates and clients and to help shift the narrative in the market.
Jonathan Sanderson, Managing Director at Corecom Consulting, said:
“Our training programme is delivered to every employee by D&I Ambassadors, who deliver five key modules over a 5-month period. This has had an incredibly positive effect on our company culture by helping staff to become more authentically themselves and comfortable with each other. It has also educated our teams about diverse cultures, religious celebrations, disabilities, and neurodiversity.
“Our D&I Ambassadors have also developed an external training programme that aims to mentor clients and offer guidance on how to develop effective D&I strategies, strengthening our relationships and setting us apart from other recruitment companies within Yorkshire.”
Corecom’s dedication to creating positive change in the IT sector, intention to give back to the professional and wider community, focus on employee wellbeing, and practical support and philanthropic activities across the region were also emphasised by award judges.
The business is proud that this shortlist, alongside the company achieving Investors in People ‘Platinum’ Status heralds Corecom as a leading employer in the IT sector and a fantastic place to work, thrive and develop.
I’ve worked at Corecom since 2018 and I’ve loved every minute of it. The atmosphere is different to any other environment I’ve been in before and it’s really a place where you can get on without any of the classic recruitment stereotypes. I’m a big believer in the fact that if you enjoy coming to work then you’ll never need to be encouraged to perform and that’s exactly the case at Corecom.
