£570.50 raised in memory of Kate
Corecom Consulting is pleased to announce that the company’s contribution to the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning for Macmillan Cancer Support was no soggy bottom! It was a roaring success. A substantial £570.50 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support and over 60 homeless people were fed in Leeds City Centre.
Employees at Corecom all pitched together to bake a variety of cakes to sell at Corecom HQ – 1 City Square, Leeds. Our personal favourites included Peanut Butter Flapjack, Oreo Cheesecake, Vanilla Cream Sponge, Coffee and Walnut Cake, Raspberry Macaroons and Scones with Clotted Cream and Jam.
The event was held in memory of Kate Bowman, a close friend of one of Corecom’s employees. Read more about Kate’s story here.
Jonathan Sanderson, Managing Director at Corecom Consulting, said:
“I’m so proud of everyone at Corecom for getting behind this initiative. Everyone pitched in equally to bake cakes and cookies in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. The remaining cakes were well received by homeless people in the City.
“The concerted team effort was admirable, and just goes to show how a bit of teamwork can go such a long way.”
The team at Corecom Consulting would like to express their thanks to everyone who came to the Coffee Morning to show your support for Kate and for Macmillan Cancer Support.
