How to build a lifelong career with Answer Digital’s women in tech
It’s no secret that building a career in technology has proven more difficult for women than it has for men. Not only do women hold less tech jobs, but they also don’t stay in tech for as long as men do. We want to contribute to changing this.
Corecom Consulting is delighted to announce that our next WITBoss event will take place online on 15 July 2021 from 4.00 – 5.00pm.
We will be hearing from three women in technology from multi award-winning Digital Transformation company and IT Consultancy, Answer Digital, who will give us an insight into how they have reached the positions they are in within the company and what experiences they have had throughout their career journeys.
Luisa Van Der End – Senior Agile Project Manager, Tessa May – Lead Technical Consultant and Kate Cleal – Principal Business Consultant, are all at different stages of their careers and will use their own experiences to advise others how to progress in their technology careers.
Isolation can often lead to imposter syndrome and is a common reason why some women leave the field. Joining a community such as WITBoss, even just connecting with people who have shared similar experiences, helps you support one another. Not only can you connect with and inspire others, but you can even use this as a venue to trade diversity and inclusion solutions.
WITBoss could also provide you with the opportunity to find female mentors who can support you and share their own experiences of navigating the tech industry as a woman. Mentors are particularly important in tech; women empowering other women can lead to higher retention of females in the tech industry. They can be above your level, but, for maximum value, they can also be your peers and those junior to you. Register your interest here
