Ash raises funds for St. Gemma’s Hospice
In memory of her sister-in-law’s father, Ash Grant – Corecom Consulting’s Talent Acquisition Manager, along with her eight-year-old daughter, took part in a ‘Bubble Rush Run’ raising money for St. Gemma’s Hospice. The Yorkshire based charity helps patients with life-threatening illnesses, providing expert care and support for local people with life-limiting illnesses and terminally ill patients.
Tackling the weather, Talent Acquisition Manager, Ash Grant and her daughter ran five kms through different stations, featuring four ft bubble walls and bubble blasters, blowing out 30 cubic metres a minute of frothy coloured bubbles.
“I did the race as I wanted to raise money for St Gemma’s Hospice in memory of my sister-in-law’s father, Eddie, who passed away from cancer earlier in the year.
“On the day the weather was horrible. It was cold, wet and at one point there were heavy hailstones! By the time I finished, I was soaked through with bubbles and covered head to toe in blue dye. But it was worth it as we raised over £300 to donate in Eddie’s memory… I’m still trying to get some of the dye off though!”

“We are committed to supporting charities in the local community and always encourage wellbeing and a healthy lifestyle amongst our employees. The team and I are incredibly proud that Ash has raised money for a very good cause, even if she did encounter difficult weather to complete the challenge.”
