24 pints of blood donated by Corecom Consulting
We’re delighted to announce that our employees recently reached a Corecom Consulting milestone, donating the 24th pint of blood.
Launched in January 2018, Corecom Consulting’s employee ‘Blood Drive’ scheme encourages the team to generously donate blood. As well as helping to save lives. Donating blood provides health benefits to the donor including a reduced risk of cancer, hemochromatosis, liver and pancreas damage.
Myles Dacres, Recruitment Consultant said:
“I’m a first-time donor and it wasn’t as bad as I expected. It took no longer than 15 minutes and knowing that I’ve saved lives gives me a sense of pride and makes me appreciate the NHS and all donors more. I highly recommend other employees and organisations to get involved”
Jonathan Sanderson, Managing Director, has previously donated blood over 20 times, as well as bone marrow, in memory of his grandad whose life was saved thanks to blood donation. He explained:
“My Grandad lost around 22.5 litres of blood during a severe motoring accident. If it wasn’t for volunteers who donated blood, I wouldn’t have grown up and learned the positive values and goals which helped me get to where I am today.”
“As a cause close to my heart I am extremely proud of the team who have rallied together to donate 30 times. On each occasion, they are helping save and improve lives through donating.”
